Sunday – Lefkada to Meganisi (Spartochori) Depart Lefkada in the morning and sail southeast to Meganisi. Anchor below Spartochori, a quiet village on the hillside above the harbor. Walk up into the village for views across the Ionian and a relaxed first evening on shore.

Monday – Meganisi to Ithaki (Kioni) Sail south to Ithaki and moor in Kioni, a small and attractive harbor village. Spend the afternoon swimming or walking the narrow lanes. Dinner on shore is a good option here; Taverna Mills offers reliable seafood and harbor views.

Tuesday – Ithaki to Kefalonia (Fiskardo) Head southwest toward Kefalonia and stop in Fiskardo, a well-known harbor town with colorful houses and plenty of life on the waterfront. Use the afternoon to explore the village, visit the lighthouse, or enjoy a swim nearby.

Wednesday – Kefalonia (Assos) Continue along Kefalonia’s northern coast to Assos, a sheltered bay with a small village and castle ruins on the hill. This is a calm anchorage for swimming, walking, and a quiet night on board. Towns to visit: Vathy

Thursday – Kefalonia to Atokos, Kalamos, and Kastos Cross east with a swim stop at Atokos, an uninhabited island with clear water. Continue to Kalamos for a short visit before sailing to Kastos for the night. For dinner, try Taverna Windmill, set above the harbor with wide views of the channel.

Friday – Kastos to Lefkada Sail north to Lefkada, with time for a swim stop on the way. Arrive in Lefkada town by evening. On your final night, enjoy dinner ashore at Ey Zhn Taverna, a good spot for Ionian specialties.

Saturday – Disembarkation Disembark at 9am in Lefkada. If time allows, take a short walk in the old town before departure.

Ionian FAQ

Where does the voyage begin?
  • The island of Lefkada.

    • The starting marina will either be Lefkada Town OR Perigiali. Both locations within 20 minutes of each other and an easy taxi ride away. You will be notified in advance of the starting location.

How do I get to Lefkada?
Well, good question
  • Option 1: Fly to Preveza International Airport. Note, there are limited flights to Preveza Airport and many of them are international. There are direct flights from London, Bolognia, Vienna, and a few other ports. Peak season there are flights from Corfu to Preveza.

  • Option 2: Fly to Athens, rent a car and drive from Athens to Lefkada. Car rentals in Greece are affordable, and for the week, it will cost you about $300. If you're traveling with a +1, it's about as much as any other transfer. If you're a solo, we can connect you with someone to carpool.

  • Option 3: Fly to Athens, take a 4 hour bus from Athens to Lefkada. The bus schedule runs multiple times a day and costs about €40, easy.

What's this voyage like?

Simply put, magical. It’s the perfect mix of stunning wilderness and beautiful little seaside towns. One day, you might find yourself stern-to in a wild, secluded cove, the kind of place where you feel a million miles from anywhere. The next, you’re wandering through a charming coastal village, enjoying a wonderful restaurant, hiking a coastal trail, or spending the afternoon on a beautiful beach.

The pace is calm and relaxed, but there’s still plenty to do. It’s an itinerary that leaves room to slow down, explore, and enjoy where you are — while still offering enough variety and adventure to keep things dynamic.

The engineer team is required to check the vessel for maintenance issues and make repairs during the half-day turnaround. Vessels require constant attention like any other complex mechanical system. If you are particular about your exact vacation requirements, we recommend booking a yacht charter with a higher price point allowing for an onboard engineer and we are happy to assist brokering a luxury yacht charter for you and your group.
