Crew Resources
Please email CREW@THESAILINGCOLLECTIVE.COM for any administrative questions
The Risk Management Plan is a document the captain must complete before the departure of each charter. The aim is to ensure each captain has an understanding of the local medical services for each location in the event a medical emergency arises during the charter.
It is mandatory that all crew review Policies and Procedures & the SC Staff Guidelines prior to each contracted charter. Operating outside the SC protocol is strictly prohibited. These resources are designed to create a safe and enjoyable charter aligned with the SC mandates and company policy.

We use Expensify for expense reimbursement. Please use it on your trip to scan all your receipts and jot down your expenses so that we have detailed accounting.
If you would like an expense card to charge your trip expenses directly to the Sailing Collective you need to sign up for expensify using your @SailingCollective.team email address. If you do not have that address yet please contact us using crew@thesailingcollective.com and we will get you set up.

Tell your network about the Sailing Collective and receive income if they book! We encourage all SC crew to be spokespeople for the organization and if you refer them to the Sailing Collective and they book, you receive a commission. Please review the terms and conditions.
Maps are created for crew resources during charters. Each itinerary map includes recommended anchorage, provisioning locations, activities, and routes. Maps use Google Maps, please save on your mobile prior to departure.
Sailing Collective Itinerary Maps
Honoring maritime tradition, we welcome you to share any tips, tricks and learnings from your recent week at sea with the rest of our crew. This is your chance to share your new favorite anchorage, the best provisioning spot and tips on where to refuel without skipping a beat. You can also share candid feedback regarding any aspect of the journey you feel relevant -- from the boat, to the itinerary and beyond.
Crew Post-Journey Feedback Form
For any incident that causes injury, it is mandatory that everyone involved and as many witnesses as possible fill out an incident report form as soon as possible.
For a concerning or dangerous situation where no injury happens, we have a "near-miss report" form. The purpose of this form is for our own institutional betterment, to make our trips safer by learning from things even when nobody was injured.
PDF versions of both forms are included in the Policies and Procedures Manual and handwritten forms or post-incident voice recordings and photos can be sent via email for documentation.
